Nuclear Missile Silo
The big highlight of this months update is undoubtedly the new monument - The Nuclear Missile Silo, this monument is much more than just an ordinary monument filled with loot and scientists, but there is still some things that remain unknown about this monument so let's take a look at the basics.
General Info
As you can tell by the name of the monument this is an old cold war style nuclear missile silo, that is mostly built underground with a few bits of infrastructure on the surface, some huts, hangers and fuel tanks and such.
It appears to have a single entrance and exit, which will no doubt cause a few issues for some players as others that may camp the monument, but it all adds to the fun, For those that manage to get into the monument loot is quite abundant.
How to Get Inside
This monument like many others has radiation so your going to need some protection for this, you will also need a Blue Card (or any card if you have the perk for this in Skill Tree.) to get into the silo and out at the end of the puzzle, There are a few blue guys on the surface you need to deal with first so your gonna need some weapons and meds, the silo will be closed so you will need to find the switch, swipe the card and press the button and the massive protective door to the silo will swing upwards and open, Jump in quick, as you don't want that giant door closing on you, It will kill you.
From there on work your way down 5 levels via stairs and elevators, word of caution be aware that there is a new breed of scientist lurking in the dark waiting for you, about 20+ of them!
Meet the NVGM Scientist
This new foe is sporting a cool new outfit complete with Night Vision Goggles, these guys have far more health than your standard run of the mill scientist, but do have better loot drops, like i said there are more than 23 of these guys milling around in the maze of tunnels.
As you progress through the monument keep your eyes open for loot boxes with 16 military loot boxes and 5 wood (remember this may change though)
Work your way to the bottom and you will find it, the doomsday room, on top of a rickety table are a number of MIRV's (Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicles) warheads that have been removed from a nuclear missile, they have been hacked using a nearby laptop, and have been set to detonate at some point in the future, you can see the countdown, but there is nothing you can do to prevent the end.
The Big Bang
So how is this going to come about the final days of wipe? Im not entirely sure, and Facepunch have been leaking some interesting titbits over on their twitter account, some of which I have shared with you on discord. but looking at it all and reading between the lines it appears that Server Owners can set the exact date and time for when the server will wipe, this information will show on the laptop in the silo,
It also looks as if F15 fighter jets will fly by and Bradley tanks will start roaming the roads of the map on the last day of wipe prior to the final big bang.
There hasn't been any visuals of the actual Big Bang yet and things as always are subject to change, but I will keep you up to date on all this as and when I find out.
