Nightlight
You won't have to worry about stumbling in the dark anymore after today's update, because FacePunch have added a new feature: nightlight! This cool effect creates a gentle glow around you when it's pitch black, letting you see some of the objects nearby. It's not very bright, so it won't give you an unfair advantage over other players who might be using gamma hacks or something like that.
Tutorial Island
If you're new to the game, you'll have the option to play a tutorial when you join an official server. This tutorial takes place on a small, private island where you'll meet a mysterious stranger who will guide you through some missions (similar to the ones in the game). These missions will teach you how to gather, craft, build, hunt, and more. Eventually, you'll make a workbench, a kayak, and a paddle and then leave the island. But watch out! As soon as you get on the water, you'll be attacked by two RHIBs with scientists on them who will kill you. Congratulations! You've completed the tutorial and now you can spawn on the beach like everyone else.
Vendor UI updates
Facepunch have also improved the UI for the vendors around the map and the player-made vending machines. The new UI is cleaner and easier to use, and it shows you more information about what's for sale. It also handles clusters of vendors better, so you won't miss any deals.
Item Store UI updates
The in-game item store (in the escape menu) has a new look too. You can now see more details about the items you want to buy, and you can also rotate them in 3D to get a better view of them. This way, you can make sure you're getting what you want before you spend your money.
Additionally there was a bunch of fixes added to find out more about these visit the rust website news page.
