Types of Ballista's
Stationary Ballista: Ideal for defence, this fixed-position ballista can launch deadly bolts at distant targets, making it a formidable fortification tool (can be placed on roofs / foundations)
Mounted Ballista: Built for mobility, this version is mounted on wheels and can be towed by horses. It's perfect for offensive strategies that require movement and flexibility in positioning (can’t be placed on roofs and foundations)
Assembling the Mounted Ballista
Materials Needed:
Hammer
1000 Wood
250 Metal Fragments
Steps:
Move the Mounted Ballista item to your hot bar and select it.
Pick a flat spot and press the Left Mouse Button to place it.
Hit the Mounted Ballista 10 times with the Hammer to fully assemble it.
Control System
Stationary cannon: More like a powerful cannon, but it can be moved around.
Mount and fire: Push or tow the ballista into position, then mount it to aim, load, and fire.
Towing Controls
Utilize a horse: Back the horse to the front centre of the Mounted Ballista.
Hitching: Look down towards the horse to see the Towing prompt and press E.
Unhitching: Press E again to unhitch.
Ammunition Types
Hammerhead Bolt: Raid-type bolt, perfect for blowing through sheet metal doors.
Incendiary Bolt: Flame-tipped munition that ignites on impact, leaving a fiery trail.
Piercer Bolt: Anti-vehicle bolts, effective against armoured cars and camper vans.
Pitchfork Bolt: Anti-personnel munitions, causing significant area damage and harm to players.
Repair, Decay & Durability Systems
Repair System: Repair 30 seconds after damage using a Hammer, Metal Fragments, and Wood.
Decay Rate System: The Mounted Ballista has 300 health and decays over 600 minutes while outside.
