Bradley scientists

Bradley will soon have some new behaviour! Long and short: Once you attack Bradley enough (a couple rockets worth), there’s a big puff of smoke and 4 scientist NPC’s pop out. This of course adds to the complexity and challenge of taking good ole’ Bradley out. This appears to not only happen at the normal stomping grounds (Launch Site) but also towards the end of wipe when these guys spawn all over the map.

The Harbour Rework and the Exciting Cargo Ship Event

The developers have brought a significant rework to the Harbour, integrating it into the thrilling Cargo Ship event. This update has not only enhanced the visual appeal of the Harbour with a fantastic new layout but has also made it a pivotal location in the game's narrative.

The Cargo Ship, a central element of the event, now docks at the Harbour as part of its routine patrol. The docking process is an event in itself, lasting approximately 8 minutes, during which players can witness the bustling activity as two cranes efficiently load four containers onto the ship. This dynamic process adds a layer of realism and immersion to the gaming experience.

A particularly intriguing feature is the interactivity offered to the players with the red shipping containers. The ability to open and close the container doors introduces a new strategic element, as players can now stow away on the ship, potentially opening up new gameplay mechanics and storylines.

This update is currently on the Aux2 branch, with strong indications that it will be included in next week's update. The anticipation among the gaming community is palpable, as players eagerly await the chance to explore the reimagined Harbour and engage with the Cargo Ship event. This update promises to enrich the game's world, offering new adventures and opportunities for players to create their unique stories.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Rust landscape continues to evolve with these exciting developments.

The Evolution of Oilrigs: Embracing the Depths

The world of offshore oil rigs is witnessing a revolutionary change, one that promises to enhance the experience for those brave enough to explore these industrial monoliths. The introduction of a new point of ingress, the moonpool, marks a significant shift in the design and functionality of oil rigs. This innovative feature, a large vertical tube connected to the moonpool, is not just a structural addition; it's a gateway that merges the aquatic with the industrial.

The moonpool, akin to those found in underwater labs, offers a novel approach for entry – from the depths below. Adventurers equipped with scuba gear or manoeuvring a submarine can now access the monument in a way that was previously unimaginable. This change is not merely aesthetic; it's a functional reimagining that adds a layer of strategy and excitement to the exploration of oil rigs.

Upon reaching the moonpool, explorers can ascend through the tube, traversing several levels of the rig. Exits strategically placed at the waterline and on the third floor provide new vantage points and pathways, transforming the way individuals interact with the structure. The ability to open and close doors within the tube – though not lock them – offers a dynamic element of control over the environment.

As we await the official rollout of these changes, one can only speculate on the impact they will have on the strategies and experiences of those visiting these offshore giants. What is certain, however, is that the oil rigs are set to become not just points of interest but hubs of aquatic exploration and discovery. The future of oil rig adventures is looking deeper, and undoubtedly, more thrilling.

The Evolution of Gaming: The Minigun's Arrival

The Rust world is abuzz with the latest development in high-tier weaponry: the Minigun. This formidable addition to the virtual arsenal has been meticulously crafted, with numerous commits to its branch signalling a significant update. The Minigun, now in the staging branch, boasts a staggering 300 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, necessitating a specialized ammo backpack for extra capacity.

As developers continue to refine this weapon, its potential impact on gameplay dynamics is a hot topic among the rust community. The Minigun promises to bring a new level of excitement and strategy, offering players a powerful tool to dominate the battlefield. With anticipation building, gamers eagerly await its official release, hoping it will be included in the April update.

Anticheat Update and Improvements

Alistair made a post on X recently which not only summarized what's coming in the update next week, but also gave some insight into anti-cheat improvements they are working on:

A lot of work is being done behind the scenes on anticheat, over the past and coming months we've slowly been closing information leaks such as networking health, items, stashes, auth lists and more. We've fixed several long-standing cheat features. Expanding the support team sizes has allowed us to get more staff support focusing on anticheat, which includes going in-game and dealing with and disrupting cheaters directly based on player reports. Some staff will soon be dedicated to anti-cheat measures full-time.-Alistair via X
